I will tell you about the wedding process in Padang consist of several stages.

The first step is maresesk, the woman’s family came to man’s family. The woman’s family brings some cakes, fruits and etc according to the manners eastern culture. The process talks about whether the couple will match. And there occurs the negotiations about take place several times until an agreement both of family. The second is maminang. The woman’s family come to groom house for validating the wedding procession. The woman’s family come with complete set of sirih, carano and etc. the third step is mahanta, the family of groom regroup each other. The process attended by mamak, his father’s brothers, the brother who had married, the same with the woman’s family. The fourth step is babako-babaki, this event held before the procession. Prospective bride bring some tradition foods. The next day, prospective brides carried back to his house. The next step is groom taken, this is most important tradition. Grooms taken to the woman’s house to carry out the procession. Generally, the woman’s family have to take complete carano, singgang ayam,nasi kuning and complete the man’s dress and other requirements. And after that is the procession of akad nikah. Usully, it held in the woman’s house or mosque. This process must belong to rule of custom. And the last is bitting in pelaminan. The bride wait guests that have invited. This wedding ceremony will complete with a music and tradition foods.

That’s all about the process wedding ceremony in Padang.  A wedding will valid if follow the rule of procession. After have done all rules, a wedding is officially. It looks like complicated but as an original inhabitant we must do it. It is respect for our culture.

Woman Have To Stay at Home

A happy family is they live in a control social exactly around family. That control come from every parents. As a wife not required to looking for job in out there, but they take care of their family. We as a woman, when we have a small family have to stay at home. There are some aspects why woman have to stay at home.

The first is to save their children and service their husband. When the woman seldom at home or we call that a business woman, the woman will be busy with their job. The children will not get more attentions from their mother and the same with their husband. So, if a mother does not care about their family automatically their children will get problem exactly social environment and the husband is not comfortable when stay at home.

The second is the woman must manage all things at home. This statement belong to time manage and do every work at home. Starting from cooking, washing clothe, cleaning room and etc. I think, if the woman does not stay at home all of works will unorganized. And I believe a husband want their wife to be an ideal woman for example to care their children, have a good service for the husband and to be as educators for children. So, woman have to manage inside the home.

In my opinion, the woman have not to be a worker in out there because it will leave work at home. They must to take care for their children and it’s important for woman to focus on the family. I think that whenever possible, in whatever way possible, mothers should be the caretakers of their children because no one can do as good a job as a parent. A family have to care each other to build a good social interaction.

Wonderful Hometown

My big family and I lived in Padang city. It means that my hometown is Padang. Actually my mother’s hometown is Pariaman city but since my grandmother had moved 30 years ago, she thinks her hometown is Padang. I am comfortable when I stay here because many tourism spots that I can visit in Padang. I will share about my lovely hometown especially about tour places and condition in Padang.

The first, my hometown has many beautiful places: Siti Nurbaya bridge and Padang mountain. Most of people in area West Sumatera have known about these places. Siti Nurbaya bridge and Padang mountain are located in Muaro street exactly beach area. Talking about Siti Nurbaya bridge is one of the tourism areas in Padang. Located in south of Padang city, about 1 km. it is so easy to reach from downtown by using public transportation and bus. Many people hang out there and refreshing there. It will crowded in the afternoon till evening. With people for enjoying the mouth of Arau river view while eating corn bake or banana bake. Grave of Siti Nurbaya was laying on slope of Padang mountain, which have a wonderful view of the sea. About Padang mountain is a tour object that many people visit there as sport climbing. The beautiful view makes us so enjoy with stretch of sea and hundred of graves China with motif and carving there. So that, these places are very suit to holiday with our family and so on.

The second, talking about condition in Padang. The condition in Padang different with the other sea because I think Padang is interesting place. As we know, Padang is a centre town make it looks like so wonderful. Start from the buildings, languages, and foods make us comfortable when we stay here. So, Padang is one of famous places that must visit.

That’s all about my hometown. My town is a very sophisticated place to visit. Although every city have different tourism spot, but we should had better proud of our town. And I will recommend everyone who is visiting Padang to explore my town. I love my hometown very much.

Destiny

There lived a small family exactly my next door. They had three children, two sisters and one brother. Their parents worked as home industry to make kinds of cake. The result of that they could continue their children’s education. It made the people around their house proud to them.

Everyday their mother made some cakes to sell around their house. Sometimes their cake put in cafeteria. Before their children went to school, their children took the cake in café. After that they went to school soon. They were doing the activity everyday. Sometimes, I ever heard from one of their children that she tired with the condition. As I knew, now she studied in senior high school. She worried if her study suddenly stopped whereas her so poor. But, her mother always gave spirit in order to be a success person.

One day, their life got a very bad condition that they did not have money anymore. Suddenly, her mother was confused that her children would not stop. It happened because their father was a bad parent. He wasted much money from the result of cakes. Their parents quarrel each other and he left his children and wife. Their mother tried to wake up again. Their neighbor had sympathy to help them. The neighbor gave a fund to make kinds of cake again. Day by day, she done that until her daughter graduated. Unexpected, when her daughter graduated, she got a scholarship until she graduated in university. It could happen because her daughter was a smart person. Her mother was proud of her that although they have a bad condition, her children’s education will not stop.

Four years later, her daughter graduated in famous university. So, her daughter tried looking for a job in one of companies. Evidently, her daughter received in private company. Her mother surprised with this news. Since, her daughter worked in private company, her mother did not make a cake again. Finally, they lived with very good condition.

Living in family and living in dormitory are same place but different situation. Whenever we live, it’s depends for us. Actually living in family more efficient than living in dormitory because what we need so easy to get it. On the other hand, the people have some reasons why they choose living in dormitory. It is related with their collage. Many differences on life in family and dormitory if viewed from the aspects which are: the responsibility and advantages both of them.

The first compare, the responsibility on life in dormitory and family. Many people especially teenagers like living in family because the responsibility is not too hard. For example, cooking and cleaning a house. Surely, our mother helps us when we get a busy schedule but life in dormitory is not like that. Although have a busy schedule we must do all work by our self. Accordingly, life in dormitory can shape itself become more independent than life in home.

The second compare, advantages on life in dormitory and home. It’s more convenient for people life in dormitory than at home. The dormitory is located near from campus. So, the boarders do not need to take any transportation to campus. That is really save money and time. In case of forgetting to bring something, it is not be worried for life in dormitory because going to room is nearly and quickly. On the other hand, life in home exactly around family we can regroup everyday and if we get problem automatically our parents can hold to take us. So, we will feel comfortable when life at home than dormitory.

In conclusion, according above comparing between living in dormitory and home actually depends for our self. The student’s ability to manage time decides whether like at home or in a dormitory serves student’s better. For those who can handle time well, life in the dormitory makes students enhance their studying efficiency than life at home.
